Important information you need to know about bespoke order
For all product type orders:
- The diagram orientation displays the top face of the worktops only. Worktops should not be assumed to be reversible, as some worktops may have imperfections or supplier stamps on the underside that could deem this side unusable. Therefore, please double check the orientation of radius corners, cut-outs, and edge profiles, to ensure that the correct side(s) is displayed.
- “Dog bone” cut-outs, although shown on this diagram, are cut on the underside of the worktop shown.
- Unless specified otherwise, hob & overmounted sink cut-outs will be deemed as not visible once installed, so the cut-out may not have aesthetically finished edges.
- All works have a ± 3 millimetre tolerance.
- All drainage grooves are drawn to scale and are manufactured to 450mm length unless specifically stated otherwise.
- Offcuts from sink/hob cut-outs and irregular cut-outs are despatched with the worktop for added stability. Substantial offcuts not shown on the diagram will also be included, these will be provided in a reasonable condition. If you do not wish to receive your offcuts, please contact us.
Additional Supplements for Timber orders:
- Please note, some darker timbers such as Iroko, Walnut, etc., can take up to approximately 6/12 months to darken fully to their finished shade, as displayed on our website. As such, there may be some initial variations in worktop colour from piece to piece, which is normally not noticeable until the finishing oil has been applied. The customer expressly accepts this.
- Timber is a natural product and therefore slight movements and variations in colour and grain can occur.
- Our pre-oiling service is mandatory with fabricated worktops, etc. as such, your worktops will arrive in optimum condition and ready for installation. Please note that you must apply a coat of oil to your worktops immediately after installation (and three coats to any newly cut edges) then maintain the oiling as per our aftercare guide lines, for this purpose we recommend that a Rustin’s Maintenance Kit is purchased with your order.
- Any alterations to our FSC® certified timbers will void the FSC® certification, therefore, fabricated worktops cannot be classified as FSC®, even when FSC® certified worktops are used.
- Unless the edge finishing service has been selected, the cut edges of the worktop may have a rough finish.
Additional Supplements for Laminate & Bonded Fenix orders:
- Please note, more than one length of edging strip may be used when re-edging, meaning there may be a small line visible where the strips meet.
- When the edging strip application has been chosen, we will use any edging supplied with the worktops to complete this service.
Additional Supplement for Solid Fenix & Solid Laminate orders:
- Unless the edge polishing service has been selected the cut edges of the worktop may have visible cutting marks, please note that the Solid Fenix polishing tool leaves a slight chamfer profile.
Additional Supplements for Solid Surface orders:
- To protect the integrity of the product in transit we are only able to offer partial cut-outs in this product, therefore, large cut-outs for butler and Belfast sinks are not available.
- Unless edge polishing service has been selected the cut edges of the worktop may have visible cutting marks, please note the polishing tool leaves a slight chamfer profile.
